Our location is known for it's coved beaches and spectacular views from the numerous headland tracks where you'll be overlooking blue ocean waters spotting humpback whales during migration. Only five minutes drive from the town centre along Woolgoolga Creek Road is the Sherwood Nature Reserve within Wedding Bells State Forest with it's rainforest walking tracks leading to the Woolgoolga waterfall. Picnic facilities amongst open grassed areas offer a great location for BBQ's. The almost immediate contrast from beach to rolling green hills dotted with grazing cattle and low timber bridge creek crossings will have you feel a million miles from anywhere, yet you're only minutes from the beach. The hinterland behind the lodge is Australia's second highest altitude and in just over an hour's drive you'll be within the New England National parks, most with picnic facilities, bush camping, walking tracks & waterfalls. |
